A simple pricing formula

line amount = measured quantity × your unit price
subtotal = sum of lines − discount (raised to your minimum job charge if lower)
total = subtotal + travel fee + sales tax

Set your unit prices from your own costs: crew time, chemicals, fuel, equipment wear and overhead. Measure every surface on site; a tape measure or a mapping tool beats eyeballing.

Printable checklist

  • Measured every surface and wrote down the method
  • Checked access, water supply and plants to protect
  • Listed each line with unit and price
  • Applied minimum charge and travel
  • Added tax only where it applies to your service and location
  • Stated deposit, terms and valid-until date
  • Wrote what is not included

Do it in a spreadsheet

The Spreadoodle Pressure Washing Quote & Pricing Calculator has a price book (per sq ft, per linear ft, each, flat or hourly), travel zones, a minimum job charge, optional discount, tax and deposit, and a quote log.
